Love The Water.

Growing up in Nova Scotia we are constantly surrounded by water. Whether it is at a pool, lake, or the Atlantic Ocean we are lucky to live in “Canada’s Ocean Playground”.

As parents we know how difficult it can be to book swimming lessons while also having flexibility around your family’s busy schedule. Our mission at The Swim Space is to offer a purpose-built, flexible, and welcoming environment for your children to learn to Love The Water.

Swimming and water safety are essential skills for everyone to learn from a young age. Drowning is a leading cause of accidental death among children. Learning to swim can significantly reduce the risk by teaching children how to be comfortable and safe in and around the water.

Swimming Lessons Are Important For Many Reasons:

  • Confidence & Independence

Learning to swim boosts a child's confidence and independence. It empowers them to navigate and enjoy water environments on their own. As children become more proficient swimmers, they gain a sense of accomplishment, which positively impacts their self-esteem and encourages them to explore other activities and challenges.

  • Physical Fitness

Swimming is an excellent form of exercise that engages the entire body. It helps develop strength, endurance, flexibility, and cardiovascular fitness. By introducing children to swimming at an early age, they can develop healthy habits and an active lifestyle that can benefit them throughout their lives.

  • Social Skills & Teamwork

Swim lessons provide opportunities for children to interact with their peers and learn social skills. They can participate in group activities, practice sharing space, take turns, and learn basic water safety rules together.

  • Lifelong Skill

Swimming is a skill that can be enjoyed throughout one's life. By learning to swim at a young age, children have the opportunity to develop proficiency and enjoy water-related activities such as swimming, diving, snorkeling, and even competitive swimming. These skills can open up a wide range of recreational and athletic opportunities for children as they grow older.
